Information about applying for the Honor Society
​​We are accepting applications for the 2022-2023 school year through Friday, September 30 for 7th - 12th grade students. Because NWNHSHS is a chapter of Eta Sigma Alpha, students must meet the standards of Eta Sigma Alpha to qualify.
New members must submit the following:
  1. Member Requirements and Code of Conduct form,
  2. permission slip and medical waiver form, 
  3. registration form, and
  4. a copy of the standardized test score report. 
  5. Payment:​​​ $30 for first student and $20 for all​ siblings.
​Forms are at the bottom of this page. They can be downloaded below and printed, signed by the applicant and a parent, then scanned and submitted by email to northernwakehonorsociety@gmail.com or may be submitted in person by the September meeting. Please be sure to add a copy of the standardized test score report. Applicants will receive an email confirming that all required documents have been submitted.

Returning members must complete a registration form every year. A test score report is required upon initial application and when entering 9th grade if the junior high scores would not qualify as a high school score. Test scores should not be more than one year old at the time of acceptance.

Testing requirements for the 2022-2023 have new rules for proctoring of electronic exams. Please see the HSA website for information.

​In addition to meeting the required academic standards, NWNHSHS members are expected to attend a minimum of 6 monthly meetings per year and provide a minimum of 10 hours of community service. Community service hours are usually available through the group's service projects or through individual volunteer opportunities.
To be eligible for Eta Sigma Alpha, a junior high school or high school student must have one of the following scores on one test administration:
  • A test score of 98 (CLT), 97 (CLT 10), 97 (CLT 8);
  • a score of 1200 (SAT), 1200 (PSAT), 1170 (PSAT 10), 1090 (SAT suite for a 9th grade student), 1020 (SAT suite for an 8th grade student);
  • a score of 26 (ACT), 26 (Pre-ACT 10);  
  • a 90% composite score on the Iowa ITBS or ITED; 
  • a 90% on the total battery (the score listed under the National PR-S or PR column) on the Stanford;
  • or 90% total score (listed under the NPR column) on the Terra Nova 2 (CAT 6) 2nd Edition.​
